Its graphics driver was most troublesome, appearing incompatible with one of SYSMark 2007 Preview’s video encoding tests, while SYSMark 2004 SE threw fits under Windows Vista x86. Our hopes for a test of true office applications were dashed when we found the VIA Nano platform unable to complete any version of SYSMark.

This might not be a problem for Windows 7 users, but our benchmarks have not been updated to run under this yet-to-be-released OS. Since that hotfix has not been rolled into a service pack and integrated into a DVD, users would be forced to slipstream it to their installation DVD prior to installation.

Back on April 23, 2021, Microsoft posted information in the Windows 10 status area about a performance issue with games. VIA’s Nano processor might be 64-bit capable, but Windows Vista 圆4 requires a hotfix to operate with it. It already came to my attention over the weekend that Microsoft has launched an action to fix these issues with graphics cards and games. Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit SP1 Shuttle internal 12V to ATX, Seasonic external 100-240V to 12V/5A Intel GMA X4500HD IGP 800 MHz, 256MB Shared Memory Intel GMA 950 IGP 400 MHz, 224MB Shared Memory Via Chrome9 HC3 IGP 166 MHz, 256MB Shared Memory Shuttle SFM27, BIOS Intel 945GC/ICH7 ChipsetĮCS G45T-M2, BIOS Intel G45/ICH10R Chipset Intel Celeron 430 1.80 GHz 512KB L2 Cache 200 MHz QDR FSB (FSB-800) Intel Atom 330 1.60 GHz 1MB L2 Cache 133 MHz QDR FSB (FSB-533) But when I tried to do the file transfer, they dropped out.VIA Nano U1700 1.0 GHz 1MB L2 Cache 200 MHz QDR FSB (FSB-800) The drives never disconnect when they're not being used - I've been using the laptop a lot recently for watching streaming video online which has nothing to do with the hard drives and I've not had them drop out even once. Strangely, this only happened this one time. About halfway through, the drives all disconnected for about half a second and then reconnected. I was getting the same the other day before they went offline completely and refused to come back at all.ĭecided to take the network out of the equation and moved the files to a thumb drive, then inserted the thumb drive into the laptop so the file transfer was local. Drives are still fine at the moment so it seems to be an intermittent thing. Not sure if it's the network or the USB connection but something keeps failing.

I've had several attempts and it keeps failing at one stage or another, including most recently an I/O error which is what I was getting when the port reset failure happened. I keep getting errors when trying to copy about 20GB of files from the desktop to the laptop. I've got them plugged into a laptop and then connected via network to a desktop.
